JCR IT Computer Company seeks the expertise of an experienced External Senior Network Engineer ready to hit the ground running with one of the fastest growing IT companies on the Gold Coast. Ideally this role will suit a Network specialist who has proven experience administering multi platform environments and is able to manage themselves. The role will involve liaising with clients to better understand their system needs and help develop solutions for them. The applicant must posses very strong understanding & experience with the latest Microsoft SME software solutions such as Small Business Server and Windows Server, routing/networking technologies, and have worked with Small to Medium Size business solutions including broadband setup & configuration & multiple-domain setup. To fulfil the requirements of this role the applicant will require knowledge of the following areas:
- Windows 2000/2003 Server, MS SBS 2000/ 2003/Back office,
- Automated backup software such as Symantec’s Veritas
- Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 and 2003
- Enterprise Antivirus and Internet Security Products
- Business Grade Broadband installation and troubleshooting
- Cisco Router administration and configuration is a bonus
- Firewall technologies
- VM Ware or other virtualisation experience would be highly regarded
4+ years experience in hardware installations/builds/moves/fault determination and network communications is essential. A current driver’s licence and a reliable car is a must.
